Morrisville, North Carolina, USA (August 21, 2021) – The love of cricket has united Botswana’s own, Adi RANGASWAMY, with the Morrisville Cardinals, a minor league cricket club in Morrisville, North Carolina. Adi has represented Botswana’s national cricket team and played professionally in the United Kingdom, Namibia, and Singapore. He has also achieved his level-one coaching certification. Stan BEEKS, Founder & President of BOSWA ALLIANCE, is supporting Adi navigate the next chapter of his cricket career.
Praveen CHAKRARAJ, the majority owner of the Cardinals, along with his coaching staff and players, graciously invited Adi to practice at their facility at Church Street Park. This was an excellent opportunity for Adi to display his skills and interact with one of the leading, minor league cricket team in the United States. The team is led by committed professionals of the game Alvin KALLICHARRAN and Rob CAINE. Their love of cricket has consistently achieved leadership positions in their conference. Alvin and Rob have also partnered in writing Colour Blind, sharing personal struggles, sacrifice, and success of a cricket legend, and their commitment with various contributions to society.
The team’s captain, Jaskaren MALHOTRA, was influential in allowing Adi participate in the team’s practice. Jaskaran, is also a member of the U.S. National Cricket team and has been selected to the U.S. team that will travel to Dubai to participate in the 2021 Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2; playing against Scotland, Oman, Nepal, and Papua New Guinea.
This experience has expanded Adi’s love for the game and exponential opportunities it has to offer.
